Another advantage is the spherical cover, which disappears inside when the connection box is opened, and therefore does not present a hazard for the lawn mower. This should have a Waterstop connector. If you remove the fittings water will come out. So you need to go back to the tap to shut of the water then disconnect. I think this is a design flaw they they can fix
