Under normal lighting the negative display is crisp, and the auto backlight, when activated, gives a 1.5 or 3 seconds soft, even lumination. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The dark screen isn’t that big of an issue. *by C***T on 15 August 2025* Bought this recently since my apple watch battery wasn’t keeping up with my long shifts. The screen can be hard to see but I can always make out the time for me it’s not that much of an issue. The auto light feature is fantastic in the dark and since it’s solar powered it doesn’t do it during the day. Having the radio controlled time is amazing one of the reasons I like my Apple Watch was knowing it was always on the correct time and this one does exactly that. I had a gshock in high school one of the best and toughest watches I’ve ever owned and a quality build.
