The silicone lid fits securely and prevents leaks. It is comfortable to drink from. It is easy to wash. It does pick up stains from the coffee on the inside that won’t wash away with simple washing with a soapy sponge. It does not hold a great amount, because the ceramic walls are very thick. This is perfect for me. I have a much larger travel mug but that one keeps coffee too hot to drink for too long (I double-heat my coffee to last hours). I use that one to refill this one and comfortably sip hot coffee all day. I hand wash mine. I have put the mug in the microwave, but not the lid. They both hold up perfectly so far with all-day use every day so far. I’ll update if that changes. (My extras are not being used yet - I got them in case of breakage or visitors.) I do see the price fluctuate quite a bit. I paid only about $7 for my first one, and it was a great deal.
