It doesn’t hold up well in the washer. I bought two throws in white. One of them I used to decorate a chair and the other I attempted to use on the couch to cuddle with my beagle dogs. Because i have a couple little dogs, I wash linens frequently. After two washes, the furry side was no longer soft and became rough. Also, both washes it shed like crazy.It’s so cute when you pull it out of the package, but it’s not functional. I’d compare the feeling of the faux fur to something like bunny’s fur, and the Sherpa is very soft as well. Has some decent weight to it and I’ve found it to be very warm so far. Hasn’t gone through the wash yet so can’t comment on that, but arrived well packaged and bagged. All in all, good for the money.
