With a 2 GPM flow rate and precise digital temperature control, it’s designed for climates with incoming water above 67°F. Its compact wall-mounted design saves space while delivering powerful 8 KW heating. Easy to install with included fittings and backed by expert support, this model ensures smart, on-demand hot water with minimal energy consumption. ## Description This Smart Technology electric tankless water heater is configured as a "whole home" model for one bathroom residences in climates where incoming water temperature is 67°F and above. This model is well suited for heating nearly 1.5 gallons per minute to 105°F at that inlet temperature, which is the equivalent of one water saver shower head. Digital Temperature Control allows you to set your temperature in increments of 1 Degree. This model can also be used in colder climates as a Point of Use for a sink or other low flow application. All tankless water heaters are sized based on flow rate and temperature rise, and there is a direct relationship between the two. So if used in a cold area requiring a high temperature rise, it will be more limited in the amount of fixtures (gallons per minute) it can heat at one time compared to a warmer climate. When sized properly this water heater will provide endless hot water and only consume the energy needed, giving the user complete control. Prior to purchase and installation please verify this model is the right size for the expected demand and electrical requirements. The ECO 8 requires a minimum 100 amp electrical panel for installation with (1) 40 amp double pole breaker connected to (1) set of #10 awg wire. Plumbing connections are 1/2" compression fitting with the option of 1/2" NPT adapter included. Just wanting it warmer.** A: Funny how all of the answers here are probably not, I doubt it or I wouldn't. Don't answer the question if you don't actually know. I use the eco 8kw coupled to a standard water heater recirculation pump and it works well for 2000 gallon pool. I would say though 8 kw is minimum for this much water. I can maintain 80°F in ambient temp of 60° (nightly low) to high of 72°. I run it about 2-4 hours a day depending. Costs about $3 - $6 to run per day. Hope this is useful information. **Q: will freezing weather damage it** A: As long as the water is able to run though the pipes it won't but the water won't be very hot. Only heats the water to a certain degree above original temp. Check the specs on the web site for more detail. **Q: To replace a 40 gallon water tank heater with 40 amp fuse, is this a feabile diy project?** A: The EcoSmart 8 isn’t capable of replacing a 40 gallon water heater. The 40 gallon heater is designed to supply hot water to every faucet in the house. The EcoSmart 8 is a point-of-use water heater designed to supply heated water to only one faucet, and usually only a bathroom faucet. **Q: is it 50 or 60 hrtz** A: Ours is 60 hrtz ## Frequently Bought Together - EcoSmart ECO 8 Tankless Water Heater, Electric, 8-kW - Quantity 1, 12 x 8 x 4 - EcoSmart ECO 11 Electric Tankless Water Heater, 13KW at 240 Volts with Patented Self Modulating Technology - HYDRO MASTER Tankless Water Heater Service Valve Kit with Pressure Relief Valve 3/4-Inch IPS Isolator Clean Brass --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/402857859-ecosmart-220v-8-0-kw-electric-tankless-water-heater-7](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/402857859-ecosmart-220v-8-0-kw-electric-tankless-water-heater-7) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
