Review: RE: on LINUX Mint Cinnamon/Zorin v17 - IT WORKS. PLUG N PLAY EASY. Okay, I bought used laptop to play with and had no Wifi. I impulse bought this USB WiFi thinking my laptop WiFi card died, when in between shipping, I completely forgot about the onboard WiFi on/off switch on the side. Doh!!!! Honest mistake. Anyways, I run both Mint and Zorin OS on my laptops, latest kernels as of June of 2024. I plugged this into my Zorin OS (version 17) and it sees it as a RealTek USB device and lists available networks, so it immediately works on these Ubuntu kernels upon plugging them in. It comes with a CD with drivers for Linux/Mac and Windoze. The Win drivers are for XP, so that's a dated CD! Nonetheless, it works on Linux. - For people new to Linux, always get a WiFi card/usb that is Linux plug-n-play. LIFE will be much easier when the kernels update, because it just works. Performing a huge list of SUDO APT blah.blah.blah is wasting your time. ThinkPenguin is another solid USB Wifi that works with virtually ALL versions of Linux just by plugging it in. Always go this route, it will make Linux smoother. Happy computing!
