Large print, stunning color charts and maps, and tons of study notes. - I absolutely LOVE this NIV Study Bible in Large Print. I love the red letter edition. It arrived within a week. I am confused as to why I did not get indexed pages... but that sure isn't a deal-breaker. This Bible is SO FULL of exciting stuff that I did not put it down for hours after I opened it! There is the 200 page Concordance, the numerous beautiful color maps, and dozens and dozens of color charts/graphs showing all kinds of information that you could ever possibly want to know (i.e. all the Parables of Jesus and which authors wrote about which ones or all the Miracles of Jesus and which of the Gospels to find those, etc). The layout of the text is as follows: scripture on the upper half of the page (in the standard double column format) with the study notes on the lower half. The bonded leather cover is nice, and I do not find the thin pages to be a problem as others have suggested since I am not used to having a previous Bible with heavier weight paper. The size of the Bible is not too huge for me either as was also suggested by some... It is 10.75"x7.5"x2" and weighs over 5 pounds and I do actually take it to Bible study with me. The only problem (and it would never keep me from purchasing this Bible...) is the lack of Bible covers available in size xxl to go with this. I only found about 5 to choose from; none of which were the least bit feminine. I went with the Wordkeeper as it is a perfect fit (no swimming around). All in all though.... VERY pleased with this purchase!!! Review: BIG study Bible with lots of footnotes, extra info, and maps - This replaces an old NIV study Bible I had for years. Compared to the old one, this one has quite a bit more information in the footnotes, as well as more (and more detailed) maps and illustrations. If you like the NIV translations, I think this would be a great study Bible to have. I also like the leather bonded cover (old one was hardcover) as it seems to lie open to my chosen page better. There isn't a lot of room in the margins for notes, but I don't do that much, so that part doesn't bother me. Just be prepared that it is BIG. It is about an inch wider and 2 inches taller than my old Bible, and also thicker (with more pages). Part of this is because the print is bigger, part is because there is just more information in it. I Have Purchased Four *by G***Y on September 14, 2017* I was Called to be a Teacher of the Bible and Gospels many years ago as I am 65.
