Inexpensive, stable and fast router with great coverage -- supports IPv6 and has a stable AP mode...
Update:I was having issues with signal strength and stability on my old router, and since the unit offered an AP mode I decided to try it (after trying unsuccessfully with several other brands). While like many routers the advanced options are not easy to find, the only thing that seems to really be missing is a truly flexible netmask (it is limited to class C[255.255.255.0] or less). The signal strength is good though not as strong as newer routers; however, it makes up for this with stability and compatibility.I was able to connect varying brands of WiFi extenders of old (802.11n) and new (802.11ac) which did not disconnect -- even over several days. This is a feat that I have been unable to do with stock routers from Tenda, TP-Link, and several others. After re-balancing my WiFi signals to compensate for neighboring homes, I was able to make my signals much more stable and to increase the available bandwidth of each. With three extenders and a media hub attached to the 5ghz 802.11ac channel, the speedtest.net throughput showed over 30Mbps on each of two attached extenders while streaming HD video on the attached hub. Also, this time the default network was set to 192.168.2.0 as opposed to the 10.0.0.0 network on my previous installation. While not the latest technology, this is Belkin's top of the line and it works well and it is inexpensive. I may add another one to see if this improves my network speed and latency on extenders. I believe this router is a well-kept secret and it is also verify compatible and stable - as is the signal it puts out. It has scheduled automatic reboot for those currently using a timer or suffering power issues.---I purchased this for my grandmother as her old router was getting old and flakey. Surprisingly, the new router seemed to have the same internet issues though the signal strength and coverage was much improved and it now also supported 5Ghz and AC. On Spectrum (formerly TWC), it seems that now there is an issue with using the 10.0.0.0 subnets which seems to be the default on the Belkin brand (which is also what I replaced). After changing the default LAN IP to 192.168.4.1 and the DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1, everything worked better and faster than before. Interestingly, this router supports IPv6 where the AC1750DB at my mother's place does not. This is a fantastic and simple-to-configure, no-frills router. If you have no need for advanced IT features and your house is not large enough to require MESH, then this is the router for you. For the rest, stay tuned.

Works great. Amazing for the price.
When I first hocked it up, the first thing it did was check for a firmware update. I did not want to do it due to all the bricking reviews, but it did not let me do anything unless I did the firmware update. Really did not like that. The firmware update went smoothly and then I had a fully functional AC router.Setup was simple and easy in the advanced section. I also did not like that every time you hit save, you had to wait a minute for it to reboot. If you did not hit save and left a page any changes would be lost. It would have been nice to be able to make all configuration changes and then reboot once when finished. I like that it has USB and functional media server, but I never tested it.I compared speed and range to a DIR-865L and ASUS AC68U and it did well being maybe slightly better that the DIR, but slightly worse than the ASUS. There was never a significant difference between any of the results. So I found this is a true AC1900 router for a fraction of the cost of most other ones out there.

Good Low Cost Router
I have used many Belkin routers over the years. Never had a problem or got a bad one. Very easy to install and works great. I use it as a hard wired access point. Have it hard wired to my modem/router at the other end of the house. It doesn't have the greatest range which is why I hard wired it. I have it sitting next to my smart TV and streaming devices. Both wifi bands work great for my Fire Stick TV and cell phones at that end of the house. Can't see spending $100 or more for a simple router when you can buy 3 or 4 of these for that price.Just wish they would make a AC2300 or fasted but I guess the 1900 is the end of the line.

Disappointing
I have owned a few Belkin routers in the past twenty years, and so I was comfortable buying this one. After allowing the router to self-update and self-register, it started running very smoothly. The theme of this device is simplicity, although several fine-points of router-adjustment have been sacrificed in favor of simplicity. Among other shortcomings, the guest band only operates in 2.4G mode, no manual/guide comes with the unit, and the setting-portal is not entirely secure. The range/reach of this router is almost sufficient for an average house/apartment. The signal strength is excellent as long as the device is within the sight of the router. However, at about 60 feet, and behind walls, the signal deteriorates substantially.Looking at some of the reviews, I noticed that this particular batch, or the entire model run, has a serious quality control problem, in that some units work well, and some not so much. It appears that mine is one of those that work reasonably well; and for a long time, I hope. Clearly, this unit is not a premier product model, but it was priced accordingly.Update - It appears that I spoke too soon. After three days of operation, this router decided to stop working entirely on its own. I was able to get it operational by conducting a power-reset. Now my level of confidence in this product has been diminished. Accordingly, I am reducing the rating stars from 4 to 3.Update 2 - This router has performed flawlessly since the original hiccups. I am changing the stars from 3 to 4Update 3 - About 11 months later, there were a lot of incidents that either a device does not get connected for several minutes, or that a device is dropped from the internet. Clearly, the original rating of two-star, or even a one-star, would be more appropriate for this router.

Nice replacement to my old Belkin.
Was delivered on time and in great condition. Followed the easy setup instructions and after the firmware upgrade, was all ready to go. Dual band makes it great for my older automation tools that only connect to 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz for devices requiring faster speeds, like streaming video and gaming. My older Belkin finally stopped after working after 10 years, hope this does the same. Would recommend for those who want simple straight forward home WiFi.
