36 inch hand cut and hand painted metal sun wall art.   This original Caribbean Metal Art Sun is 100% handcrafted on the island of Haiti. The thick industrial steel is cut from the top of a recycled oil drum. First the design it hand cut and hammered into shape with primitive tools, then multiple coats of outdoor enamel paint are applied using a combination of sea sponges and paint brushes. Finally the design is covered with a thick clear coat to add shine and protection in the elements.   This art is designed to last for many years outdoors exposed to the sun and rain, how ever if you wish to hang it indoors it may well last forever. You are buying the exact piece displayed in the images here, not a copy or a similar design. It is an original work of art by renowned metal artist Jean-Paul Desrosier.
