The handle, braided 1/8" nylon?, is great and makes it easy on the palm of your hands.Just a couple of notes. The container holds the temperature of your drink for a pretty long time. So, conversely, if you put room temperature drinks in the container it will take a couple of days to get really cold. If you're in a hurry add ice, the opening is more than large enough.
