After reviewing smart WiFi switches, I can assure you that it will fit this. Box. **Q: Standard outlets and switches do not fit in this box, screws not lined up, what does fit?** A: I just did this. At first I thought the same as you because of the 4 holes on each side. If you look at a standard switch, you've got a single hole in the middle and a pair of mouse-ear-looking tabs with holes in them above that. The mouse ears are not used in this box. I figured out that if you move the switches/receptacles to the inboard screw holes the single holes top and bottom line up perfectly and you can run standard screws in like a regular interior blue box. This is one screw upper and one screw lower.
