Review: Matched tap & drill bit set for 3/8”-18 NPT tapping. - Good HHS steel drill bit & tap set, comes in plastic pouch, oiled for shipping. Drill bit is 6” overall with 3-1/2” of twist drill. Shank is cut down to .499”, fits any 1/2” max chuck and has small three side flats ground on shank (Silver & Demming style). Tap: 3/8”-18 NPT hardened & tapered as a starter tap, beefy body, .540” square head.
