I am 5"4, 128 pounds and a 34A. I am in between a small and a medium and so when I read the other reviews saying the tankini ran small I decided to get a medium. The medium fits snugly (It will likely expand in water). The top part is a little tight so if you are a little top-heavy then I would recommend sizing up. The straps do seem a little too far out on the front . I also ordered a large and it is closer to a S-M type of fit. The straps hurt. When I loosened them, I lost the breast support.I did not return this top only because the print and the fit and flare at the bottom is quite lovely. I will resolve my revealing breast issue by wearing a white bandeau "bra" under the swim top.
