And if you put a hole in it, then the air would flow back in! From the other reviews I see that lots of people are saying the same thing so I didn't just get a bad batch. Utter ripoff.

**Q: What is the best way to clean the bags? Are the bags dishwasher safe?**
A: Hi, I would never put these in the dishwasher the heat may be too hot and melt them. I just use hot soapy water when washing my dishes which I do and prefer by hand and I let them air dry. The good thing about these bags is I have used them over and over and they are fine. The pump, on the other hand, stopped working after 2 uses each time so I found a hand-held cordless one on Amazon I use with these bags and it works perfect. Hopes this helps not everything is for the dishwasher

**Q: Will this work on the Foodsaver mason jar attachments?**
A: I'm not sure I understand your question. If you are asking if the manual, hand, vacuum pump included with this kit will work with on Mason Jar containers - the answer is no.  This manual hand pump is designed for evacuating the air from flexible, plastic, bags with a one-way valve.

**Q: I can't figure out how to make the pump work to suck air out of a bag. Do you need to puncture the spot on the bag where it has the blue air valve?**
A: NO don't puncture the bag!!  Just hold the suction device straight up over the valve and pump. Use a bit of pressure so the suction device doesn't loose suction.  Mine works GREAT!!  I hope this helps.

**Q: Are these temperature safe in a pressure cooker?**
A: No need to pressure cook in a bag. Kind of defeats the purpose of pressure cooking.

This was just a game changer for me. I've been sous viding for awhile, using my vacuum/seal machine until it broke. Had 2 of these machines. Well, with these bags and pump you get the same result, with no machine. For 30sgd? I wish I knew this product before!
