That was a bad idea. Anyway, when the flush valve broke , we were up $#!+ creak. Nobody carries stuff for one piece toilets. I even bought a new toilet for almost $180. ( which I was later able to return). I saw there were a number of different options available on Amazon. They were all different sizes. I measured the old piece and found this product that was for about same size hole. It went in easily and so far is working great. I'm going to order another for a backup. This may sound extreme, but it's for a cabin up north and there are extreme temperatures when we are not there. Anyway I'm not an expert, I doubt I could answer any questions, that is what made this product a great value to me. ### ⭐ Design of flush mount. *by S***K on Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2019* I had earlier purchased this which had an extended flush mount into the tank. What I received this time is a poor design that has just a large metal wing nut sitting on tank to bowl gasket. I atruggled to buy a 2.5 inch on but managed two gaskets of 2 and 3 inches that somehow fit in circles. It stopped lealing after.Where in the world they would come up with such design changes. Tgis is poor. Sorry. Stay away from this product. ### ⭐ Wasted a day *by W***T on Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2021* The flush valve didn't fit in the tank opening. Took my Dremel, ground the opening just a tad larger, the footing for the flush valve fit. Put it together. Adjusted the fill valve and the flush valve. Seemed to work well. Water leaks out of the tank into the toilet. Tried adjusting it, loosened the screw, tightened the screw.
