(The 30oz tumbler itself, with lid, is less than 8in tall.)The straw is also narrow enough to slide through the lid's sipping hole without any modification or difficulty, and the draw on the straw doesn't feel restricted when drinking thin liquids like water, tea, coffee, soda, juice, or milk.Each straw has a nice heft suggesting durability. A steel tube can be bent or flattened with enough pressure, of course, but it doesn't seem like these will easily come to harm. If they ever do, they're relatively easy to recycle and replace.While I'd not use these with hot liquid, I don't fnd them uncomfortable with cold drinks. The value is great for the number of straws you get and combined with free Prime shipping, no complaints here at all. If you are looking to cut down on the impact you make on the environment by bringing your own straw with you when you grab a smoothie or a tea to go while you are out, this is such a great deal. I am so glad I made the switch from paper straws, as they get soggy and leave a funky taste in my drinks. Thru no fault but mine I did notice the diameter of the straws when ordered. When receivev them I noticed that they were wmaller than the one I had. They work just fine anyway.
