What keeps it from 5 stars is eventually, I suspect the plastic hinges will break, but the containers will still be usable, they'll just be in two pieces. I have a CSA farm share, I get veggies every week. These containers are the perfect size for pesto, sauces, herb butters, spice and herb preservation. I can't eat all the delicious food I get in one week, so I MUST process and preserve the extra. Also I make lots of pesto, but sometimes have a little left that won't fit into a 1-cup container, so I save the remainder in these containers. Great for a single serving or just enough pesto for baguettes for one dinner. I don't use the tray, though. Not just good for freezing small items, but storing things in them as well. They wash easily in the dishwasher and the amount of cubes make it perfect for a variety of small batches. Endless uses for them. Try putting melted chocolate on bottom, freeze, add strawberry and more chocolate and freeze again.
