In 2008, Glide Bikes introduced The Mini Glider and Go Glider, an alloy version of the PV Glider. Many parents have stated that the Mini Glider and Go Glider have exceeded their expectations in enabling their children to ride and balance upon two wheels with confidence. He was previously using a smaller toddler-sized bike with training wheels, and I liked the idea of him learning balance without training wheels or pedals.The bike parts arrived packaged well and in good shape. Assembly wasn't too hard. However, I was disappointed that the handlebar height is not adjustable because the handlebar stem slides into the frame only a few inches and then will not go in any further. The stem stops going into the frame at the level where the stem's paint and clear-coat begin, i.e., only the unfinished part of the stem will slide in. I tried sanding by hand, but that didn't help. Maybe a dremel tool would have helped, but I decided not to bother.I didn't attach the kickstand because it seems like that would get in the way of the child's legs while getting the bike going.The most obnoxious thing has been that the handlebars seem to always get crooked. When first assembling, I had them lined up straight and used the included tool to tighten the screw as tight as I thought possible. However, it seems every time my kid uses this thing the handlebars get twisted out of alignment and I need to readjust & retighten. My kid doesn't crash the bike or throw it down or anything else out of the ordinary, but these handlebars just won't stay straight no matter how tight it seems I tighten that screw.The good part is my kid does enjoy using the bike and it seems to be a good size for him (he's above-average for height and weight at 4 years old). The seat is easily adjustable and sturdy enough. Also, I have seen him make steady progress in his ability to balance, turn, brake, and glide for extended distance with his feet up on the footbar. I am feeling confident that he won't have much trouble transitioning to a regular 2-wheel pedal bike after this one. I just wish the quality were a bit better for the price charged. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're wondering which size to get. *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on September 3, 2009* Our son is 43" tall, and we bought the larger version of this bike. It was too tall for him. But there's a fix:Take a look at the picture of the bike: The seat pole (silver in the picture -- the pole attached to the seat) slides into a receptacle pole (painted in the picture) that's about 4" long. There's a black plastic cap stuck into the bottom of the receptacle pole. When assembling the bike, you drop the seat into the receptacle pole and it stops when it hits the cap. That's the lowest setting. You then tighten the seat with tension (meaning you turn a bolt until it's too tight to move).If the seat is too high for your child at its lowest setting, you can remove that plastic cap and slide the seat further down into the receptacle pole. Our seat pole pokes out about 2" from the bottom of the receptacle pole. We tightened the seat very carefully, and it hasn't budged despite the fact that the cap is gone. I even sat on it -- hard -- and it didn't move. So now our son can glide comfortably, despite the fact that he really isn't tall anough for the larger size. ### ⭐⭐ NOT Foam tires - Don't Trust the "Product Details" *by P***A on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on May 15, 2014* The Amazon Product details lists "EVA Foam Tires never need air". This is FALSE. The bike I received has AIR tires and the valve used to pump the tires up does not fit a regular bike pump. After researching balance bikes I chose this one based on the size and the foam tires - which survive better in the high humidity we have where we live.
