They are also strong. I looked for a while to find a nice wooden spoon that wasn't too long but also had a bowl. I did get a nice plain bamboo one with a bowl at the end, but I used it once to scoop oatmeal from a non-stick pan, rinsed it and left it to dry in the dish rack and it ended up drying with a big crack in the bowl part. I returned that one and started scouting for another spoon. Saw these and they looked like exactly what I needed, which was to scoop the cooked steel cut oats from the non-stick pan of our rice cooker. I use the smallest spoon and it has just a big enough bowl on the end and short enough to do the job perfectly. The flat white plastic rice scooper that comes with the rice cooker doesn't quite do the job. Also, the spoons are a pretty white with decorations on the handles. I would've rated these Ladles a 5 but the round spoon rest that came with them is of very low quality & I can pretty much bet it'll fall apart after it's first washing as it seems to be ready to fall apart now & it's not even been used.
