They have an inside to inside width of 11-1/8" but advertise an outside to outside width of 11.7". I am not sure what width the Jumbo is. Our large mounting bracket is the largest we sell. Hope this helps. **Q: The description says "no pre-drilled holes" but the third picture shows brackets with holes. Which is it? And why would it not have mounting holes?** A: Hello! The brackets do have pre-drilled holes for mounting them to the cross arm of the post. They do not have pre-drill holes where the mailbox attaches to the mounting bracket. If they did, you'd have to line up 2 small holes perfectly to attach the box to the bracket. This way, you just install the bracket in the general area of the mailbox mounting hole and just attach with the self drilling screws that are included. We install dozens of mailboxes every day with these brackets and have determined this to be the easiest and fastest way to attach the mailbox to the brackets. **Q: Will this bracket fit the Gibralter D mailbox to a wooden podt?** A: I think it will work. We used it with a wooden post that also had a short perpendicular wooden platform and attached it to that. **Q: Will this fit a 6 inch mailbox?** A: No, these are designed to mount a mailbox with an 11" wide floor. With these brackets, the job becomes much easier. These brackets perfectly fit an extra-large mailbox. The pre-drilled holes provide plenty of positioning choices and the fact that they are made of rust-proof aluminum means I shouldn't have to worry about corrosion.The only weak point of this bracket system is the screws - which will eventually shear off after several years due to the constant working of the hole edges on the screw shaft against the sheet metal of the bracket. This is unfortunately true for just about any kind of screw you might use. It is the reason that screws should never be used on sheet steel deck and bracing supports. Galvanized nails won't sheer off in this way so easily, but are far more inconvenient for installing a mailbox.
