Within a minute, my body was used to them and they were no longer uncomfortable. My husband reports a more restful sleep and I believe I am sleeping better. I used to wake up frequently due to very dry throat and mouth, from mouth breathing and snoring. My throat would be so dry, it was difficult to swallow water, which I kept in a covered cup by the bed. But now, I'm not waking up so often and when I do, it's not because of dry mouth, it's to use the bathroom, or because I've slept long enough and I'm ready to get up. This has helped me a lot and I wish I had found them long ago. I was unable to complete a sleep study years ago due to clautraphobia, and couldn't use the Cpap machine for the same reason. This is non-threatening and I can breath so easily, I can read and do anything, barely realizing I have them in. My husband says he barely notices them.
