(i.e. Walking distances with weights inside?)** A: It’s pretty heavy duty…depends on how much weight you intend to carry whether the straps will still be comfortable **Q: On the photo section it shows it 18" tall but in the description it shows 14", which is correct?** A: My bag is about 18 n a half. I got this same thing **Q: How long is the padded part of the shoulder straps?** A: It is padded the entire length of the strap, and for mine that is approximately 12 inches. **Q: Are these made in the USA?** A: Frankly I don't recall where the Mardington packs are made, but I can certainly vouch for their high quality. They are extremely well made and well designed packs, and I've used them now for several years. As far as whether they're made in the USA, most packs are now constructed overseas, including the very top brands. (Over the years I've used North Face, Osprey, Kelty, etc.) What matters is not where they're made but what is the quality. I've bought five Mardington packs for my wife and I, the 75 litre. the 55 litre, the 28 litre, and these day packs (2). They are all of excellent quality and design, and built very intelligently and rugged.
