You never know with these aftermarket cheap replacement parts. It fits great on our 2011 VW Tiguan. The whole repair took 20 minutes moving slow. Its located on top of the engine under the main plastic cover. Easy peasy. Dont pay VW hundreds of dollars to replace this. You can do it 100%. Make sure you have the correct size torx screwdriver or socket for removal.
