Bad move. Returned it ASAP and bought this JCC model like I should have done in the first place. The JCC version fits the RF 100-300 perfectly, no hassle at all getting it on or off and can be fitted or removed with the lens cap on. Plastic is similar in quality to what the OEM Canon would be.
