Planting methods If the outer layer of the bulb is covered with epidermis, the epidermis must be removed to reduce the risk of rot. Clean up the withered roots and keep strong roots. Generally, the dry external environment will cause some water loss inside the bulb. You can soak the middle and lower part of the bulb with water that is slightly warmer than the room temperature for 1 to 2 hours. Be careful not to soak the top of the bulb into the water. They received them and planted as instructed. A couple of weeks later, I decide to order one for myself since they looked so beautiful on the wedsite. What I received was the same boxed version I could’ve bought at my grocery store. I paid over $30 for a $7 bulb. I returned mine but was unable to return the 2 others I had sent to family since they did not know they received nothing more than the grocery store version. The bulbs they planted bloomed fine, but I’m out $60 for a gift that I could’ve spent $16 for. I tried reaching out to the distributor with no luck. Buyer beware!

I bought 2 of these as gifts and had them sent to family before Christmas thinking they were getting a beautiful variety of Amaryllis. They received them and planted as instructed. A couple of weeks later, I decide to order one for myself since they looked so beautiful on the wedsite. What I received was the same boxed version I could’ve bought at my grocery store. I paid over $30 for a $7 bulb. I returned mine but was unable to return the 2 others I had sent to family since they did not know they received nothing more than the grocery store version. The bulbs they planted bloomed fine, but I’m out $60 for a gift that I could’ve spent $16 for. I tried reaching out to the distributor with no luck. Buyer beware!
