Mixing area: 12 x 15 cm. Weight: 454g Ideal for: Watercolour gouache oil paint. Use in the field and studio Good quality is excellent for mixing watercolours. Porcelain for watercolour paints really makes a difference. Key Features: 18 cavities for paint and a large mixing area. Enough weight so it won't tip over. Smooth surface, no dripping. Easy to clean and no more stains from leftover colours. The mixing area is gigantic and the paint wells are deep. Why choose a ceramic palette to mix colors? Porcelain palettes are a great alternative to mixing paint. They are heavy so they won't move during use and will last for years thanks to their sturdy construction. Porcelain palette is sturdy, easy to clean, store and sturdy enough for the demands of working in the studio or outdoors. The best economical and practical porcelain palette for you. Contains 18 outer wells for paint and a large mixing area, ideal for acrylic and casein paints as well as watercolours. Enough weight to prevent slipping and slipping during use, allowing artists to focus on their craft. The porcelain surface keeps paints moist longer and unlike plastic does not cause bead off. The surface is smooth, the colour will not pearl, but spreads smoothly. Porcelain leaves no stains, making cleaning a breeze, and it cleans perfectly with a cloth. Review: Versatile, compact ceramic palette - This is a handy palette which can be used in the way shown in the main photo, or turned upside down for 12 shallow mixing wells. It's small (around the size of an A5 book), which means the little wells for the source colours are smaller than ideal – about the same size as a traditional watercolour half pan. So not recommended if you like to work with bigger brushes or for large-scale paintings over A4, but great otherwise. I ordered a different, larger Meeden ceramic palette at the same time and this smaller one is noticeably different in colour. It's a creamy/milky shade, very close to the traditional white of quality watercolour paper, which is helpful for judging colour mixes. (The larger one I ordered was a cooler/bluer white.) Overall, this is an excellent value palette if you work on a small scale: it's well made, versatile and a good price. And, as with all ceramic palettes, it's much nicer to use than a plastic palette, as the mixes and washes don't bead up on the surface. ## Features - Made of high quality white eco-friendly ceramic material, very durable. It has enough room to mix and also enough spots to load with paint. I don't like that they put half sized triangles in the corners instead of sticking with the square theme. I guess for some people they can use these spots to put lesser used colors like white and black, but in my opinion its kind of difficult to load paint on your brush with that tiny little triangle spot. Its too small for most of my brushes. I usually just fill those with water so its a convenient spot to have a little extra bit of clean water. either way I am sure you can get creative and use this palette in a way that is convenient for you. its well made, very affordable, easy to use and easy to clean. ## Frequently Bought Together - MEEDEN 18-Well Porcelain Artist Paint Palette, Mixing Art Ceramic Watercolor Paint Palette for Watercolor Gouache Acrylic Oil Painting, Rectangle 8 by 5-1/2-Inch - Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Paint Set, Sketchers' Pocket Set, 12 Half Pan w/ Brush - Arches Watercolor Pad, Cold Press, 9x12 inches, 12 Sheets - Professional Art Paper for Watercolor Gouache Ink Acrylic --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/408620070-meeden-18-well-ceramic-artist-paint-palette-mixing-porcelain-watercolour](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/408620070-meeden-18-well-ceramic-artist-paint-palette-mixing-porcelain-watercolour) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
