Review: No Rattles or Bearing Noise! - Between our land and that of friends and neighbors I always have plenty of oak firewood to burn each winter. My fireplace is a Hean-n-Glo Northstar and it runs almost 24/7 during the winter months. The fireplace is 14 years old and has two blowers. One failed after three years (loud bushing bearing noise) so I replaced both of them with blowers with bushing-type bearings again not knowing any better. Those blowers always had some rattling and bushing noise and when they finally got too noisy recently I bit the bullet and paid a little more for two of these blowers with ball bearings. The rattles and bearing noises are completely gone and my fireplace has never been so quiet. Hopefully they will last for many years to come. For the cost of the Northstar fireplace they should come with these superior blowers.

Very easy and quick install, blows plenty of air. A little noisy, so I ordered the rheostat and hope to turn it down to see if it can make less noise.
