I won't use just any water additive. Some have bad ingredients. Research it. This one also was good with my vet. I've been using it for my dogs for years. Be sure to use the correct amount according to the directions. I've never had to have teeth cleaning for my dogs. No tartar. Nice teeth. My oldest dog is almost 16 and has great teeth. I've got cats now and I put it in their water too. Cats tend to get bad teeth so I'm glad this additive is available. I've read some other reviews that say they got smelly bottles. I never have. Don't buy this in a pet store. Things sit on the shelf too long. It's cheaper here anyway.
