This indoor insect control product kills bed bugs, fleas, and other listed insects where they hide. This indoor ant killer, bed bug killer, and flea killer also kills and controls silverfish, carpet beetles, centipedes, cockroaches, scorpions, spiders, and other listed insects for up to 8 months. This indoor bug killer powder is the third step in the Ortho 3-step bed bug solution system. Use step 1 to detect bed bugs with Ortho Home Defense Max Bed Bug Trap and step 2 for room treatment with Ortho Home Defense Max Killer (both sold separately). Ortho Home Defense Max Bed Bug & Flea Killer Powder kills bed bugs, fleas, ants, silverfish, carpet beetles, centipedes, cockroaches, scorpions, spiders, and other listed bugs in areas that are hard to spray like the cracks and crevices of bed frames, along baseboards, near window frames, in closets and other places bugs travel and like to hide. It's easy to use this bed bug powder, simply apply directly from the bottle or with a hand duster. Directions This product is intended for applications with a hand duster, or from the container to hiding and runway areas and other places where insects are found. In living areas, make applications in such a manner as to avoid deposits on exposed surfaces or introducing the material into the air. To avoid the possibility of staining, do not use on carpets, upholstery and other fabrics. Do not apply as a broadcast application indoors. To apply insecticide directly into cracks and crevices, use a bulbous duster, or other suitable equipment Apply lightly and uniformly to infested area. Pay particular attention to cracks and crevices; service ducts; false floors and ceilings, wallvid around electrical and telephone fittings and equipment; around water and sewer pipes; under and behind cabinet, refrigerators and sinks; around windows and door frames; along baseboards; in attics and crawl spaces. The amount to be applied will vary with the site but usually be in the range of 2-3 grams of product per square yard (or 0.5 lb. per 1,000 square feet). Ants, Boxelder Bugs Cockroaches (Including Both Resistant and Non-resistant Strains), Crickets, Fleas, Firebrats and Silverfish: Apply thoroughly to all areas where these pests crawl and hide, especially in those areas described above. For Ants, apply to ant trails, around doors and windows, and other places where ants enter premises. Centipedes, Ground Beetles, Millipedes, Scorpions, Spiders and Sowbugs: Apply dust along and behind baseboards, to window and door frames, corners, pipes, storage locations, attics, crawl spaces, and other areas where these pests may enter or crawl. **Q: Does this product have residual effects, meaning do you have to spray the bugs directly to kill them or if they crawl through it later will it kill?**
A: Sometimes there will be bugs crawling out. Makes it easier target to kill.

**Q: Can i spay mattress or clothing with this**
A: Clothing should be washed to get rid of bugs when possible. Heat kills them just as well as chemicals, though heat doesn't have keep working later. Just put any fabric or pillows that fit into a dryer in on the hottest setting for the longest amount of time on the machine. You can wash and dry it normally after, though only using the dryer on completely dry fabric is needed.

**Q: What's the difference in this Ortho Max and the original ortho in which I've purchased three times and now they've hiked the price of double sometime?**
A: The difference is that Ortho Home Defense Max Bedbug, Flea, & Tick Killer uses Bifenthrin, Imidacloprid, & Piperonyl Butoxide.  Ortho Home Defense Bedbug, Flea, & Tick Killer uses phenoxybenzyl, dimethyl, cyclopropanecarboxylate, N-Octyl bicycloheptene dicarboximide, & Imidacloprid. Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer uses Bifenthrin, & Zeta-Cypermethrin.

**Q: Does this Kill even after its dried?**
