The interplay between the many gods is mirrored by the adventures of their followers. The characters are generally well thought out and the plot moves along well with enough action/tension and humour to keep the viewer engaged all the way through. It's a bit derivative but then there are so many similar series and Isekai that it's hard to stand out from the crowd. This series manages to stand out for its excellent characters, dialogue and plot. You might also like: Wiseman's Grandchild, Konosuba, Sword Oratorio Review: Not what you might think - The English title leads one to believe that this might be a straight out comedy of a character driven by his desire for women. That's not it at all. This is a story of a fledgling chivalrous adventurer that is a magnet of the opposite sex, not a pick up artist. It's another well done, heartfelt story. Great animation. ("ANIME: Storytelling at its best") ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This anime got me into light novels *by B***S on January 3, 2019* There are plenty of summaries already so here are my thoughts on the series: This is the first anime that inspired me to start buying and reading the light novels. Like is generally the case with books vs TV, you understand more of the motivations and subtler plots. Even though I've likely read past what the 2nd anime season will hold, I won't hesitate to buy it too.
