Mix 0.9 grams of Empero with 1-2 gallons of water and 2 teaspoons nonionic surfactant. **Q: Is Empero more concentrated if mixed with one gallon of water instead of two?** A: No, the mixture is sprayed over 1,000 sq ft regardless of water volume resulting in 0.9 grams of Empero being applied. **Q: Why should a nonionic surfactant be added to the solution mix?** A: Surfactants improve coverage and efficacy of the product resulting in more effective control. **Q: Will Empero control nutsedge without harming my lawn?** A: Empero is a selective herbicide formulated to target yellow and purple nutsedge as well as green Kyllinga without negatively impacting the established turfgrass species. Never apply to newly seeded or stressed lawns. **Q: Are there any tips to improve nutsedge control?** A: Apply when weeds are actively growing and not stressed from heat or drought. If the soil is dry, water the night before application. Repeat applications may be needed for larger weeds and green Kyllinga. Allow several weeks for complete weed kill. ## Frequently Bought Together - Atticus Empero Nutsedge Killer (1.33 oz) Halosulfuron-Methyl 75% Turf Herbicide - (Compare to The Leading Brand) - Kills Nut Grass in Established Lawns, Ornamental Turfgrass, & Landscape Areas - Southern Ag Surfactant for Herbicides Non-Ionic, 16oz, 1 Pint - Liquid Harvest Lazer Blue Concentrated Spray Pattern Indicator 8 Ounces Perfect Weed Dye, Herbicide Fertilizer Marking Turf Mark and Marker --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/410825002-empero-nutsedge-killer-1-33-oz-halosulfuron-herbicide-concentrate](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/410825002-empero-nutsedge-killer-1-33-oz-halosulfuron-herbicide-concentrate) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
