Had to have a variety of clothing for everything from dressy nights onboard, to kayaking and zip lining excursion, and many things in between. My husband had some others that had mesh tops and he let me try a leftover. The mesh on that one pulled out of the seam the first time I zipped it up, so I knew I didn't want to mess with those. I found these on desertcart, and they had great reviews. The one drawback I could see was that there was no way to tell what was in each cube once you had packed them. But I liked what I saw, so ordered two sets (one in black and one in grey), and I was very impressed with the quality. I've had no trouble with the zippers, the seams are well sewn, they really compress things, and kept my suitcase organized. As to not being able to see what was in them, I solved that problem by attaching a small tag to the zipper pull of each cube and I wrote on the tag what I had put in that cube. That even helped me when it came time to pack up to head home. I could grab a cube, read the tag, and know exactly what to pack in it. If I ever need to pack another suitcase, I will be buying more of these--a very satisfied customer. Review: Pleasantly Surprised - Was looking for new "compression packing cubes" specifically, and bought a few different ones to try out. I ended up keeping this one and returning the rest. I know many people like the mesh or semi transparent bags but I thought to give this one a try since I hadn't seen any that were completely solid. I don't mind the solidness and I can easily color code the bags myself with some stickers or something, its only 4 cubes, but I can see why some people wouldn't like it. I know some reviewers posted zipping or ripped problems which is why I initially had mixed feelings, but I'm glad that I went ahead and got them. These were able to compress and fit more than some of the other ones I got, with no problems easily zipping or compressing. Compression cubes are not the end all solution, you can't fill it to the brim with no room to be able to compress, of course it will rip/burst. I was able to fit 6/7 t-shirts in the small ones and it took up way less space than my regular packing cube of the same size. Also, for zippers getting stuck, all you need to is put a finger or two under the zipper as you zip and it almost guarantees you won't get any fabric stuck. My large cube was 14.25" instead of 15, though. They all measured closer to 4.0" thick when expanded if you wanted to pack them more fully without using the compression feature, but that may stress the zippers more. I also received a second small cube instead of the slim cube they described, but most of the pictures on the item page show 2 small cubes and no slim. It's likely the configuration has changed since the seller posted their answer. **Q: Do you just push air out of the packed cube or do you need to use your vacuum?** A: If you refer to the 6th photo of the packing cubes, you will see that it shows you filling a cube and then using a second zipper to condense it into a thinner package.
