This unique, easy to install plasterboard fixing system requires no special tools, just drill, driver & hammer. The patented system includes engineered steel cores and all necessary screws required to create an industry leading heavy duty dot & dab wall fixing. A 10mm hole is drilled and using a hammer, the wall plug is gently tapped through the plasterboard, the cavity and into the masonry wall behind. The engineered steel core taps into the plug and into the masonry, bridging the ‘weak’ cavity and transferring the load from the plasterboard face to the solid masonry or blockwork behind. Good quality for the price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by D***D on 4 February 2020* I've just used 3 of these to attach an old (fairly weighty) 32 inch TV on a cantilever bracket to a 25mm insulated dot and dab wall. I reckon I'm spanning at least a 40mm gap not including the 12.5mm plasterboard. I'm a little apprehensive whether or not they will hold for any length of time as it does say on the packet they they aren't ideal for cantilever loads for obvious reasons. As I'm spanning such a large gap, I unfortunately missed the hole in the bricks and the first plug snapped fairly easily, which was a little concerning but the other 3 I was more careful with and they went in with no issues. I can't really see why if there is approx 40/45mm of plastic plug in the wall, and the screw is expanding the plug into the brick work correctly why these won't hold efficiently.
