Am very satisfied with the noise reduction as about all that can be heard now is the sound of the fan. This AC is a 12 year old unit that that's a cheaper model which tends to be somewhat noisy when new anyway. So, got what I hoped for and would highly recommend for anyone wanting to reduce the noise from an AC compressor. And it’s a big boy, can’t even reach the compressors. Had to cut the sound blanket in multiple places, lots of duck tape and climb into the cooling unit to get the blanket installed. But it worth the effort. Noise level is noticeably reduced, especially a high-pitched vibration sound that bugged the hell out of me.
