They're exactly as described. Though they're not "luxury" quality, they don't lack in what I needed which was warmth, roominess and comfort. After my surgery, I needed something that will accommodate a bit of abdominal distention and be comfortable enough and not too hot for my physical therapy. If you're around my size (up to, say, 125-130 pounds) and prefer more fitted or smaller fit, I'd get a small size. If you prefer an "oversized" feel without it hanging down, and like to just cover the waist and fold the hem under to wear with jeans or leggings, you may prefer the men's medium. This is not the style that will hang long enough to cover the rear if you're somewhat tall. Overall, perfect for me with good quality, warmth and "oversized" feel.
