It ran true to size and, when pulled on tight, it really pulls your shoulders back. It has lightweight stays for the length of the back to provide a reminder to keep your bak straight. It also features pads so that the underarm area is well-protected. I have worn it at night (and I sleep in an adjustable bed) but I find that it is more useful to wear during the day, where it is a strong reminder not only to keep your shoulders back but to keep your spine more erect. Since I work from home, it's a good reminder indeed. Going out: I would wear it under a jacket but not something lightweight, like a T-shirt.
