Review: Most comfortable mattress ever! - We have been using our Layla mattresses for seven months now. We bought a pair of Twin XL mattresses to make a split king. One of the big reasons I chose the Layla was because of the flippable soft/firm feature. I like a soft bed, my wife (thought) likes firm. Until she tried the Layla. She has been sleeping on the soft side, and has had none of the back issues she thought she would have with a soft bed. I'm heavier, and have had hip issues, one has been replaced, the other will probably need it soon. Our previous (Natl. brand, TV advertised) mattress was medium soft, but the inner layer was hard as a rock, and caused me a lot of pain when I slept on the wrong side, because my hip bone would bottom out on the support layer. No problem with the Layla. Coolness/heat seems to be about the same as our last bed. The cover of the mattress is very high quality, and felt so nice, it seemed a shame to cover it up. Extra points to Layla for not using some abrasive shiny fabric. Very happy with everything so far.
Review: A fantastic choice for most people - Our daughter has juvenile arthritis and fibromyalgia so good sleep is difficult for her to get. We'd bought her an expensive foam mattress and adjustable base in high school which she loved so much that we shipped it off to college. When she returns home for the summer, though, she's in pain days after arriving. This year, we decided to get her a foam mattress at the house but really didn't want to pay the thousands of dollars we did for her "permanent" bed. I did some research and figured this Layla mattress was worth a shot... and it paid off! My daughter noticed the difference the first night and while she says she'd still pick the expensive one over this one, she absolutely recommends this mattress. She says it's a bit softer than her one at college, but she never feels warm because of it (good to note in the Phoenix summer). She did say the smell was a bit strong for the first couple of nights but she wasn't willing to give it up to let it air out for a week or so. By the end of the first week, she said she has to press her head into the mattress to still smell it (and thankfully that doesn't seem to be something she does on a regular basis). If you suffer from physical ailments and are looking for your full-time, permanent bed, maybe consider spending a bit more. But if you're just looking for a comfy foam mattress that won't set you back thousands of dollars, then this might be the one! (But maybe let it air out a few days before you get attached.)

**Q: You you offer the 4 month trial if purchased through Amazon?**
A: I also bought this mattress and didn't like it because I have back problems and needed a good one... it's hard even on the "soft" side and when you try to return it, they make you pay a crazy pickup and return fee which at that point you might as well just keep the damn thing and use it for a guest room or something. NOT a trial when you make the customer basically pay for the bed twice because you're too cheap to back your product up and at least pay PART of the shipping costs since the bed does NOT perform as advertised. Skip this bed, NOT worth the huge pricetag.

**Q: Has anyone compared the Bear mattress to the Layla for firmness level?**
A: I've never been on a Bear, but compared to a lot of other foam mattresses I've had this is the SOFTEST. I do NOT recommend this of you sleep on your back.

**Q: When flipping the mattress, why do you need to take the mattress out of the mattress cover?  Why can't I just flip it over as is?**
A: I believe the mattress cover contains the so called cooling materials, so if you flip the mattress, you lose the cooling effect.
But, don't worry as Layla does not warrant the "cooling'. You will notice third parties "suggest" many benefits.

**Q: is there a weight limit?**
A: They told me 800lbs.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comfortable for back problems

I’ve had two back surgeries so mattresses are important. I’m using the soft side and it is firm enough to avoid sinking but soft enough to not cause pain to my hip and shoulders. I have noticed that the cover turns some during use. Will have to see if that’s a problem after several months of use but for now I’m turning them regularly to offset the slippage. Overall great mattress.
