Trying to use in salt water.** A: No, it's a anodized metal according to the product description. I'm assuming it is hardened aluminum. Which should be sufficient because you use this to anchor into a soft bottom, such as sand or mud. **Q: Does this pole float?** A: I don't think so. It is solid. I attached a float to it via a separate line. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended for smaller boats *by T***R on April 23, 2026* This has been a great addition to my boat highly recommend if your fishing shallow water ### ⭐ Don't buy it. *by C***S on August 31, 2026* It lasted two trips and snapped in half.
