At first I was nervous about that, but as soon as I opened the plastic packaging, the comforter fluffed up nicely. It is definitely thin and lightweight, with a black and white floral pattern that fits in with a lot of types of room decor. I really love the pattern. The microfiber sheets and comforter feel very light and satiny, which is different than my usual thicker, rougher cotton sheet sets. The sheets are plain white, thin and airy, and the fitted sheet goes around my deep mattress plus foam topper with no problems. It's elasticized all the way around so it stays on the mattress pretty well. The shams and pillowcases are an unusual design, with a kind of open flap at one end, maybe to be tucked in?
