I made some earl grey tea and wanted to try out this raw honey, I thought it would be really good! After seeing so many great reviews and ratings but honestly, it smelled. The honey I felt was safe since there was a protective seal under the lid that wasnโ€™t opened. However, having had experience with both raw and manuka honey before, I can say it really did smell strong and like spoiled baby food. I initially just thought it was the extra โ€œrawโ€ factor and that this honey was some special blend so I went ahead and tried it anyway despite the smell. It wasnโ€™t really effective at making my tea sweeter. By itself, it wasnโ€™t really that sweet. It was sweet, however just like very light. I kinda liked that but honestly it took a lot of honey to make my one glass of tea taste sweet. Maybe I just got a really really bad batch? But like it really made me want to throw up like an hour in. I tried it again the next day to make sure it wasnโ€™t something other than this honey. But honestly, I feel like it was! Maybe Iโ€™m too sensitive to a pollen they put in it or something or maybe its a bad batch. I must say that I definately feel an improvement in my legs and less pain when I walk. I am hoping to continue with this product and continue improving my condition of claudication. I didn't like the taste or the texture. I'm not sure what "Ceylon Cinnamon" is but it didn't taste very cinnamon-y to me. The texture was a bit gritty, probably due to the safety seal being broken (delivered as such - see 2 below) and allowing air to get into the plastic jar.2. This 22oz plastic jar of honey was shipped in a large bubbled lined PAPER envelope. The bubble liner seemed to offer no protection what so ever from rough carrier handling. Consequently, the safety seal under the lid of the jar was smashed in upon arrival. I did not think it safe to eat this with the safety seal not intact so into the trash it went. However, I did take a chance and took a little taste before disposal. I didn't like the taste (I suspect the air that was allowed in because of the broken seal had something to do with the odd taste).
