A: You just need a pump.

**Q: Do you need adapter in order to inflate air**
A: It depends on the type of pump that you use. Many small hand pumps, or air compressors will need an adapter. I have a bicycle pump that does both types of tubes without the need for an adapter .

**Q: How do these adaptors trigger the air release in the Schraeder tire inflator? Does it rely on the Presta valve stem?**
A: When I screw the Presta adapters onto the valve stem, it begins to release air. You have to turn the adapter counterclockwise a couple of times so air from the pump will flow in.

**Q: Is this what I need to connect a Schrader pump to a Presta valve on the bike?**
A: Yes
