As far as how well it files *by K***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2018* This is exactly what I needed. I tried using clippers for my dog but she gets too scared. This also scares her but not as much. It's really quiet. I almost thought it wasn't working at first because it barely makes any sound, which is a great thing. As far as how well it files, I have no complaints. It works really well on my puppy. I was afraid of using the guillotine style clipper that I use for my cats because his nails were much darker and it is much more difficult to see the quick. I tried it on one of my cats but the normal claw clippers work much better and are faster.
