Review: Awesome for the price. Season it first!! - On sale this is worth it. Half the price compared to Lodge set. Yes it may be a bit more rough like sand paper, but overall I am impressed with the casting. No defects and it is very solid and heavy. I seasoned mine 2x before 1st use. This sealed the iron and also made it more smooth & nonstick. I have Cast iron from multiple name brands and this seems to work just fine. Definitely Season it a couple times before use and it should be good to go. I feel people think preseasoned means its good to go, but in my experience season all cast iron first so you aren't disappointed with sticking food, and rusting due to scouring and soaking. -season -heat up before adding food - don't soak in sink - clean and reapply light oil

**Q: Can I use this Dutch oven on an induction stove top/oven ?**
A: Overmont Dutch oven can be used on a gas stove top, induction stove top, charcoal grill, campfire and in the oven. Please do NOT put it in the microwave.

**Q: Is this pre-seasoned? Do I need to season it myself?**
A: It is pre-seasoned with vegetable oil and ready to use.After each use, just lightly oil the inside of the pot with your oil of choice.

**Q: Can a Dutch oven rust?**
A: Yes. Cooking food releases steam and after the oven is turned off and begins to cool down, this steam condenses to water. Moisture is what contributes to the rust of a cast-iron product.

**Q: What should I do if it is already rusted?**
A: Rust is removable, follow our steps to cook, clean, season, and your cast Iron Dutch oven will last a lifetime. See the manual or rust removal video for details.

**Q: Is it normal for cast iron pots to have uneven thickness at the bottom?**
A: It is normal. The bottom center of the pan is where it gets the warmest while cooking, so it will be thicker than the rest.

On sale this is worth it. Half the price compared to Lodge set. Yes it may be a bit more rough like sand paper, but overall I am impressed with the casting. No defects and it is very solid and heavy. I seasoned mine 2x before 1st use. This sealed the iron and also made it more smooth & nonstick. I have Cast iron from multiple name brands and this seems to work just fine. Definitely Season it a couple times before use and it should be good to go. I feel people think preseasoned means its good to go, but in my experience season all cast iron first so you aren't disappointed with sticking food, and rusting due to scouring and soaking. -season -heat up before adding food - don't soak in sink - clean and reapply light oil

Great cast iron and very well made we will enjoy these the quality is great and easy to clean I would reccomend these to anyone. Season them the Dutch ones were seasoned a bit but these weren't but not a deal breaker for the price and still good quality very affordable and a great investment. They are really easily to cook on and didnt leave a large amount of rust after wash !!! Not fummy taste or smells wete detected and they appeared very neat and clean on arrival thats a plus
