Usually I get sticks that are just all smashed up in a cardboard box that looks filthy and the pieces are all different colors and some taste awful. But this one I am pleasantly surprised!! They are all white and just a few broken. Packaged very well. And they taste pretty good. Pica sufferers all have different tastes… so if you want the taste of more cementy, drywall, kinda chalky… than this is it. I put mine in water for a few minutes before I eat them and it’s like rain on cement. Yummmm. They are very gritty. I like that. Very crunchy. So the water softens it a bit. But if you want more of a dirt or earth taste I would suggest red slate pencils or clay. If you want a pure chalk taste then buy edible chalk. The BEST ones are HITT or Natura Uralis.
