Within hours the sellers responded with a link to a Facebook video showing how to convert from old to the new light tubes! By all honesty,it turned out to be a whole lot easier than what the video shows! The whole concept of the conversion is to bypass/go around the existing ballast!! Yes as simple as that! It took me about 10 minutes to cut the wires and connect them to the fixture itself while disconnecting the ballast,which I decided to keep in place,and tucked away the extra wires,that are not connected to anything.Now to the most important part,light quality! These new tubes are way much brighter than my old fluorescent light tubes! At 5000K bright daylight,they really made a huge difference in brightness in my dark basement,and not to mention saving at least half the power consumption and ultimately saving $$ on my electrical monthly bill! In other words,these LED light tubes will pay for themselves in a matter of months.After installing and seeing the difference these light tubes made in my not so bright basement,I highly recommend them to other shoppers that count on their fellow shoppers opinions to help them make the smart decision. As for durability and long lasting,only time and use can tell! I will however make sure to come back and report any issues with quality in the future.Still, if you're a skeptical person and not sure whether to trust other people's reviews or not! With Amazon's 30 day return policy, you have four weeks to try them out yourself, before returning them for any reason, with no questions asked, and in most cases Amazon will pay for the return shipping. It is a win, win situation!! With that said, I hope you find my humble opinion helpful in making or breaking your buying decision. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A WARNING... *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2017* I assumed a lot of people who buy these T8 LED tubes are the DIY type like me with a basic electrical knowledge. This company's advertisement failed to warn the buyers a few critical information that a lot a buyers (including myself) who are new to the LED tubes and are not aware of the critical information when buying these new LED tubes:1. These are single-ended LED tubes, therefore, the wiring is completely different from double-ended LED tubes which look very similar and can easily be confused.2. The tombstones from the traditional T12 and t8 bases are shunted, which should NOT be used for these single-ended tubes. They need to be replaced with the non-shunted tombstones.3. The previous leads to the next issue that is they don't provide the non-shunted tombstones in the box while some other brands provide them with the purchase. They're not expensive but it's inconvenient and delaying the project.4. Very poor instruction on a little piece of paper and without any of the warning as stated above.The installation should be quick and easy if the warnings and information are noted for preparation. After I did a little homework and bought the non-shunted tombstones. It took me about 20 minutes to completely rewire and remove 2 ballasts from the old T12 fixture to install all 4 of these LED tubes. The tubes are reasonably bright for a decent price when on sale but again, installing them without understanding the type that you're working on could be very dangerous, and if you don't feel comfortable or have no clue what I was talking about, I highly suggest to hire an electrician for your own safety. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product - poor instructions *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2017* Very impressive. We have been doing battle with fluorescent lights (builder lights) in our garage especially when the weather cools off. It had already started this fall when the temperature fell into the 30s outside. I had been thinking about this replacement for some time but was uncertain as to the viability and the quality of light. Amazon had them as a lightning deal so I took the plunge. Just got them installed and there is an incredible difference. Wish I had done this before now. Only problem is that if you have not done this before the instructions are useless.
