I’ve taken them on two trips and am going to start using them on short trips around home when I can’t use my regular ice packs. I have bad knees and use a regular ice pack/sleeve combination from CVS for them. When I don’t have a freezer I take the regular ice packs out and insert these activated cold packs into the sleeves (they are just the right size) and Velcro them around my knees. The cold lasts about 20 minutes and really helps my knees. I’ve even given some to other people who have aches and pains or who need to cool off in the hot weather. They have been a Godsend for me. They are fun to pop ....though you may have to twist them and then shake to distribute the cold. So far I have had no trouble taking them in my carryons on the plane. ### ⭐⭐ Not quite what I was looking for. *by P***K on Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2019* I thought these would be good to help with some knee swelling, during an upcoming European trip. I tried one immediately. It got cold, but not cold enough to help with inflammation. It did stay semi-cold for about 15 minutes. Also, each packet is a little weighty, which, if I chose to pack several, would add significantly to my 50lb suitcase limit. I returned them.
