I opened the box and as I attempted to loosen the knotted fabric ribbon to tie around the branch of the Northern Pine aka Hawaiin tree named Mele after the Bing Crosby song the star slipped off to the hardwood floor. Shattered into a lot of pieces. I was super sad because the star reminded me of my son. I was doubly bummed since I bought it on sale directly from the company. Jumped on desertcart to look in the open box section. Boom there the star was for a similar to what I paid for the price. Now, I have the replacement. Though keeping it in the box until the living-room reno is complete and there’s no risk of a floor crash again. I’ve not seen such a delicate ornament since the glass bulbs from back in the day.
