I've been using this product for about a year. I have suffered with constipation, hemorrhoids, fissures, and now a fistula since July 2015. This product has saved me. I first purchased a much more pensive buffered C calcium ascorbate with magnesium and potassium...it was effervescent. I practically held my nose so I wouldn't taste it or added fruit punch (which isn't too nutritious). I used a teaspoon every morning. But, by golly, it saved my life (or so I felt) last summer. That particular product is more than twice as expensive as Nutribiotic. After researching the different types of buffered C, I discovered the sodium ascorbate is not any less healthy than the other product and, in fact, it may be better. I started with the small jar of Nutribiotic after researching reviews, ingredients, purity, etc. I used a teaspoon (one scoop) every single morning when I wake up on an empty stomach. The taste is not unpleasant...just a little salty water. I usually wait a half hour to three hours before eating breakfast. I'm usually in the bathroom less than hour after drinking it.
