(I hate when vendors do this!) One has two analog outputs (RCA and 3.5 mm), the other two digital outputs (optical and coaxial). Both models have two digital inputs, one optical and one coaxial. The all-digital model has an input selector switch. I don't know what would happen if you connected both inputs on the analog model, which appears to lack this switch. Anyway, in both models it appears that both outputs are active simultaneously, no matter which input is used. So the answer to your question (which is about the all-digital model) appears to be YES. **Q: Is there any lag when using this converter? Even a small amount?** A: I'm using this from a Line 6 Variax guitar plugged into an HD500 (using the Variax port) out the S/PDIF port to this convertor box and out optical to an audio interface. Can't detect any latency difference between headphones directly in the HD500 or the audio interface's direct monitoring. **Q: Will this model splite 1 optical in to 2 optical out?** A: It will not spilt the optical. **Q: how long can you leave it on?** A: I bought this converter a few months ago to use for connecting an HDTV to an old analog stereo receiver for better quality audio instead of the horrible audio from the built in TV speakers. We leave it on 24/7 watching movies from the hard drive on our PC, Netflix, Amazon movies and for our DVD player. Thank you again! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Versatile well built unit, and a great value *by V***I on June 27, 2020* I use this unit to convert coaxial digital output from my CD player to Toslink optical as input to a MEE Audio connect hub in transmit mode. The Bluetooth connectivity allows me to listen through two different two channel systems. The device works very well. I haven't done any critical listening on my main system at this point however, my initial impressions of sound quality on my office system are very good sound. The Bluetooth transmitter allows for both digital optical and analog inputs. This is why there are more wires in the photos than would be needed if I were only using the digital CD output. I set it up this way because the analog vacuum tube output from the CD player is quite good. Depending on the recording and system I am listening through, gives me the option to listen to the onboard CD player DAC, or let the external DACs on the Bluetooth receive side to handle the D/A conversion. I recommend this product.
