Very nice furniture addition for the money
I purchased in large part because of the Ashley name, but have to admit was a little disheartened when I saw the box come in the front door. Fortunately that feeling quickly vanished. This is by far the slickest furniture assembly experience I've ever had - ingenious design, with all the hard parts already done, and the rest guided by very simple to follow pictorial instructions. Then the best part - after the quick assembly, you have a very nice sturdy piece of furniture that no one would ever know was assembled in home. It's being used as a stand for a 65" flat screen TV, but is also a very nice furniture addition with great storage. Would definitely purchase again and highly recommend.

Beautiful, heavy piece of furniture but with a few flaws.
I am giving it 4 stars because it is a very heavy piece of furniture and is beautiful and well designed. It is a little darker than in the image but I like that better. As for assembly, It seemed pretty easy. My hardware kit came with 6 "L" (1/4" x 45 mm) screws and not 4 "L" and 2 "S" screws. The "S" screws are for the fastening the top front of the cabinet. I will have to go buy some of the shorter screws.Mine arrived with a few damaged pieces. The inside divider panel (right at the front on the right side) has a large area where the finish is scratched completely off. If I can get some stain to match it that might be liveable. The top piece came with one end piece of molding that had came off (and with it broke off pieces of the particle board it was attached to. There is also two pieces of wood that is attached to the underside of the top pieces and one of those (same end that had the molding came off) had came off and again took some chunks of the particle board that it was attached to with it. Tried to glue it back the best I could and gently hammer the little finishing nails/staples back in to secure it. The corner where the side molding meets the front molding has a sizeable gap where I'm trying to figure out how to close that to an unnoticeable degree.Got it all together and will try to mend the blemishes. I'm very disappointed in the pieces that came off and the blemishes because other than that it is a beautiful piece of furniture and I really love it. I won't move it in to place until I can get the two screws for the front top piece that didn't come with it. It came with enough screws just not the right size. Hopefully with some handiwork we can fix the blemishes.

Very Satisfied.
Very easy assemble with only six screws to hold the top on and secure all the pieces. Yes, mostly particle board with veneer but as expected for the price. Very heavy and sturdy. Had one small blemish on the center divider. The color is as described, being more brown than red. The picture of the small unit is more red than brown. Matches our set just fine.

don't buy this
item arrived with damaged components and the only option to replace the components was to put it all back in the box and ship it back and wait two weeks for a new one to ship and hope those parts were not damaged. I will never buy an item from ashley again.

Lovely piece of furniture
Easy to assemble, except for the very last...the top. I am 75 year old woman and my husband is in a wheelchair and we put it together in just a few hours. Also, it is very sturdy and looks very nice in our livingroom.

Assembly issues and bad directions
We purchased a new tv and it did not fit in our current armoire. We needed a tv stand pretty quickly. I saw this tv stand on display at Ashley Furniture a few weeks ago. When I called Ashley, they said they would have to order it. I figured that if I had to wait for the order anyway, I would go ahead and order it on Amazon. It is a beautiful piece of furniture and comes partially assembled. It looked like it would be a piece of cake to assemble. It wasn't. First, the directions for assembly is just in picture format, which would probably be fine, except some of the pieces differ from what was in the box and the pictures do not really show which direction the pieces should be placed. The main piece is already assembled on hinges. It is the front and side pieces. This is where I encountered my first issue. One side did not seem to line up properly when it was opened up. I was able to open it enough and I thought it might be fine. However, many of the other pieces do not fit correctly due to this. There is also a piece in the from that doesn't fit flush with the rest of the unit. It is stapled to the rest of the piece and the staples were sticking halfway out. I gently tapped them in so I could get the middle piece into the unit. The middle piece came labeled to show which end was the top and which side went in the front. It was clearly marked incorrectly. When I placed it into the stand, the brackets that were needed to hold the bar in the back were in the front. The bars were very hard to get in, but I did get them in. They just fit very tightly. Plenty of issues, but I thought I could make it work.Next I tried to put the shelves in. Because they were labeled incorrectly, I couldn't really figure out which shelf went where. Also, you really notice how "off kilter" and crooked the unit is when you try to place the shelves. The did, however, go in. The didn't fit evenly and they were tight. BUT, they went in. Finally, I tried to slide the back piece in. Because the whole unit is a little crooked, the shelf did not fit correctly. Therefore, the back would not slide in. I really thought that even though it was a little crooked I could make it work. That isn't so. Unfortunately, I will have to contact their customer service which is really frustrating. I now have a half assembled piece of furniture in my living room and nowhere to sit the tv. Even if they have great customer service I will still have to wait for replacement parts. Good customer service is of great value, but I would much rather have a quality piece that is made correctly because now this is a huge inconvenience. In addition, there were a couple of scratches and chips in the wood, the hinges on the front do not even line up at all, one of the doors doesn't shut correctly. I can't comment on the top piece because I haven't even unwrapped it or tried to put it on the stand.I gave this three stars because it is a beautiful, heavy piece of furniture. It is much more sturdy and heavy than something you would find at a discount store. I feel like all of the problems stemmed from the one side being off by just a bit. If the one side was correctly assembled I think everything else would have gone together just fine. It is the same piece of furniture you would buy at the furniture store but for a reduced price (and the furniture store indicated that I would have to assemble it if ordered from them). This is disappointing to say the least. It really is beautiful if it would just go together. Maybe mine was just a fluke. It sounds as if a previous reviewer had no problem with assembly.

when the product arrived the box seemed to be intact however when we took it out of the box to assemble both the stands top panel and the bottom panel were broken.

Ease and Style
Was easy to put together. There was a small chip on the corner of the front, and on one of the shelves that looked like damage caused from shipping. A little bit of stain fixed the issues so that it's not even noticeable. Love the color and is better quality than what we had looked at in local furniture stores. Happy with this product.
